A.F.L Season Predictions

With the 2020 season now at a 17 game season, we are finally looking forward to some A.F.L on Thursday Night and hopefully an uninterrupted season.

Here are our Top 4 teams we think will challenge for the A.F.L Premiership this season.

(These are in no particular order).

1.GWS Giants.

Last seasons Grand Finalists are looking to go one better this season after an awful performance on GF day and again give the competition a massive shake.

The Giants will be boosted by many healthy returning players like Whitfield, Ward and Coniglio and if Toby Greene can stay out of trouble and reining Coleman Medalist Jeremy Cameron can hit the score board again the Giants are serious Premiership threats.

2.Richmond Tigers.

The Tigers after hammering the Giants in last years Grand Final are looking to go ‘back to back’ this season and with the now shortened season the Tigers will call the MCG home for the majority of the season.

We all know how hard it is to beat the Tigers @ the “G” and if they avoid major injuries and if Tom Lynch continues his late Finals form from last season,it again is all set up for the Tigers and Dusty Martin to dominate the comp.

3.West Coast Eagles.

After a disastrous end to the Eagles 2019 season losing the final round match @ home v Hawthorn which cost them a Top 4 spot ,they have made a massive splash in the off season and added Tim Kelly to an already fantastic midfield.

The Eagles concern this season is if forwards Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling can stay healthy and the Eagles can kick a winning score v Opponents.

If these guys can stay on the field and if the back line can hold the Eagles if they can finish Top 4 can really on their day beat any team in the league and give the comp a real shake yet again.

4.Collingwood Magpies.

The Magpies are another team looking for redemption after letting another opportunity slip by going down @ home to GWS in last years Prelim Final.

With a star studded midfield much like West Coast the Pies raise similar question with if they can week after week kick a ‘winning score”.

Collingwood’s forward line is a little make shift but if players like De Goey and Cox can go forward and hit the score board,we see no reason that they can’t yet again challenge for the Premiership this seasonĀ
